23 Years

On December 30th John and I celebrated 23 years of marriage.
It is hard to believe that I have been happily married to my man for so long.   It has been on amazing journey... one I don't regret for a second.
John is such a wonderful man that I can't thank God enough for putting us together.
We woke up to an amazing breakfast in bed prepared by our older girls and Rebecka.
After that John and I got to go out for the whole day to do whatever we wanted.
We started the day by driving around our neighborhood looking at the houses and landscaping.
We stopped to talk to an elderly gentlemen who told us the history of our neighborhood and all about the squirrels in his yard.  He showed us the squirrel homes and feeders he has made.  We got some really good ideas.
After that we shopped for a couple of clothing items that that we had given the kids that didn't fit.
Then we went to lunch at Luby's.   We tried the seasoned greens-- neither of us are fans.
Later in the day we went to Home Depot to drool over gas stoves with double ovens, and new flooring.
Before heading home, we stopped by Starbucks to use the gift certificate we got for Christmas.
It was fun just being out together.
It may sound like a pretty boring way to spend our anniversary, but that's because you haven't heard what we did when we got home.
All of us went roller skating!
