Breakfast For Dinner

There's nothing like having breakfast for dinner. Especially if it's fried eggs and prok chops.
Yummy.
What makes it extra special is that we have a gentleman from church who has been bringing us tons of fresh eggs.  What a blessing.

  4. We love breakfast for dinner too, it was a go-to meal a lot if Daddy wasn't home for dinner, for some reason. Having brunch is a favorite thing of ours too, especially on holidays, brunch on Thanksgiving means only two meals instead of three, ha. With so many kids, it's nice to keep it simple sometimes. I love reading about your adventures in Texas, btw.

  5. I looked at those eggs and wondered if they were farm fresh. I'm getting to love those more and more all the time. Pork chops for breakfast... I've never done that, but it sounds yummy.

  6. Looks yummy! I get delicious bacon from my butcher and farm fresh eggs and we have bacon and eggs for a quick supper sometimes and love it. I make a fried tomato and toast too :-)

  7. I think it must be my own brand of early trauma that makes it very difficult for me to handle the idea of breakfast for dinner. It makes me really uncomfortable - even though when I was a girl my parents did that every Sunday evening for a treat (for themselves!) I guess it is the dis-order that I find disturbing.

One time after Ilya came home, we joyfully attempted to introduce him to the occasional "treat" of having a "picnic" on the carpet in the living room and watching a family movie. He was SO UPSET - I could tell it was the same sort of upset I felt about breakfast for dinner. NOT RIGHT.

    People are funny.

  8. We used to do pancakes and bacon on Friday evenings, but now Kaleb has swim practice so we don't eat together on Fridays. But I may have to do it for the girls and I!
