First Day of School

Back to school for the kids. In the midst of the busyness, I managed to remember to take pics of a couple of the kids.
Aren't our middle grade schoolers handsome!  Paul and Andrew are in eighth grade
and Jonny is in 6th.
Today was Natalie and Oliver's first day of school together.  Since Oliver went last year, he understood the word school, but Natalie didn't have a clue.
When I met the bus driver, I felt more comfortable letting my two babies go.
They have both come such a long way!
Here is a picture of Natalie's 2nd day of school.  So far so good.

LegoLand

Since we took our older children to Costa Rica, John and I wanted to do something special with our younger boys.    After brainstorming, we came up with LEGOLAND!
They were so excited!  We started out early to get there right when it opened.  It was not long before we were on our first ride.
The boys really like how interactive the rides were.

Alex and Dennis really appreciated the lego creations.  Nolan and Oliver are still too young to understand how much work went into each statue.

Oliver had so much fun driving his car!  He kept bumping into things, but the attendant was really patient and helpful with him.

After a full day of LEGOLAND we took the boys to In and Out for dinner.  Three of the boys fell asleep on the way home.  It was a good day, one the boys still talk about to this day.

Four Birthday Celebration

August is a big birthday month in our family.  Not only do Caleb and Paul have birthdays, but so do Uncle Jack and Aunt Tanya.  And Caleb shares Uncle Jack's birthday.
So of course, we had one big party!

Paul invited a few of his friends over.  They played all kinds of games outside.
Everyone got a different kind of birthday cake.  We sang happy birthday and youngest to oldest blew out their candles.

 Paul went first.
 Then Caleb.
 Next was Uncle Jack.
Last but not least was Aunt Tanya.

It was a full house.  Full of family.  Full of friends.  Full of love.
Happy birthday to Paul, Caleb, Uncle Jack, and Aunt Tanya!
WE LOVE YOU!
