Natalie continues to make great strides. After nearly a year she is drinking out of a sippy cup by herself. She is also making more eye contact, something she rarely did before.
Natalie does not like milk. Or water. She drinks only juice. Lately, I have been mixing her juice with a little almond milk. It's hit or miss with whether or not she drinks it,
but today I got her take a few sips.
Oliver and Natalie get on the same bus every morning. They go to the same school. They are in the same class. They have gotten closer. Our mornings are a little less chaotic because of them having the same schedule. It's a nice arrangement all around.
However, this was something I had to push for. Last year, the school suggested a medically fragile class for Natalie because she was not walking and her delays were so significant. I was apprehensive before visiting the class, and adamant about her not being in the class after seeing it. There was no way she belonged in a medically fragile class, but the school was hesitant to put her in any other class when she wasn't walking yet. So I told them, we would wait to enroll her until the new school year, when I knew she would be walking. Fast forward to now, and she seems to be doing well.
