Four Birthday Weekend

This weekend all the grandparents were over.   Since we have lots of October birthdays in the family, we celebrated four of them this weekend.
We started out with Jonny's 11 birthday.
The boys played this game they made up with legos.  They built these tops that spin and had battles on the counter top.  The goal is to knock the others off the counter.
Jonny requested chocolate pudding pie.
Happy birthday Jonny!  You are so energetic and spunky and we love you so much!

The next evening we celebrated Baboonya's and Grandma's birthday.
Happy birthday Moms!
The next day we celebrated Nolan's 6th birthday.  We had homemade calzones.  I made homemade marinara for those that wanted something a little spicier.  It turned out great!

Each person got to fill their calzone with whatever they wanted.  Sausage, pepperoni, ham, bell peppers, onion, pineapple, mushrooms, olives-- you name it!
Nolan takes birthdays so seriously-- especially blowing out the candles so I wanted to make him a special cake that had nice, big candles on it.
He blew all six candles out in one breath!
He loved opening his presents.
After watching all the other boys get a costume for their birthdays, he was very excited to get this Hulk one.   He couldn't wait to put it on.  He wears it every chance he gets!
On Saturday we went somewhere special.  With so many pictures, I need to do a follow up blog post.
Happy birthday to Jonny, Baboonya, Grandma, and Nolan!
We love all of you so much!

  1. Happy Birthday Nolan and Johnny! (and to the moms/grandmas as well!) Nolan looks pleased as punch with his cake and that costume is too funny. My youngest loves Hulk too. :)

  2. What a great weekend! Nolan is just the dearest little sweetie. I can see from your photos how much he enjoys birthdays. Happy Birthday to all :-)
