Meeting Natalie Kay

Today we met Natalie Kay! And guess what? She is shy, inquisitive, tiny, delicate, adorable... in other words ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. After breakfast we walked down to the orphanage. It's about a 15 minute walk. We met with the director and soon after Natalie was brought in. It was love at first sight! After about five minutes we took her outside. I can't say that she smiled during that first visit, but she did enjoy interacting with us. She made the cutest little noises-- I will share that video tomorrow. She is a tiny little thing-- about the size of a 9-12 month old. However, she is able to bear weight on her legs, pull up, grab for a toy, and show her likes and dislikes.

During our second visit later in the afternoon, she seemed more relaxed with us. She even smiled! And by the end of the visit she was content being in Daddy's arms. We cannot wait to see her in the morning!

  8. You have some beautiful photos there. What a lovely moment and I am grateful I got to be there through the miracle of technology. I especially love seeing John's face - he is quite an amazing man. You are so lucky. I feel like I have a great husband, but he's more of a "follower" I think (like many men); in John I see someone who appears to be as committed to your great adventure as you are.
