Graduation Festivities

This week has been filled with graduation festivities.

Yesterday we went to Red Robin for his graduation dinner.  Since it was not grad night they actually took our reservation for a party of 22.  There was hardly any waiting which was nice.
Adam ordered the seafood platter-- his usual at Red Robin.  The little kids behaved great!
The girls had fun remembering the guy who sang Happy Birthday to Galina back on her birthday.
Baboonya joined us along with Grandma and Grandpa.

Grandma knitted him this blanket using UC Riverside colors.
This morning Andrew had a promotion ceremony into middle school.
Way to go Andrew!
Andrew has decided to be homeschooled next year.  And I am so excited because he is excited about it.  Like a breath of fresh air, I really think he will bring some much needed motivation to the bunch.  He has already looked through all of his curriculum and showed me how he is going to write out his papers with his name, date, and assignment.
This evening was Adam's graduation ceremony.  First we got some pictures.

All of the student were given eight tickets for family and friends.  He was able to score a few extra from friends.  Still it wasn't enough for our whole family.  At the last minute the principal announced that she was giving extra tickets on a case by case basis.  I went down to the school with Julia and after waiting in a long line I met with the principal.  In the end she gave us enough tickets so that our whole family could attend.  Yay!
We are so proud of our son Adam!  He is trustworthy, hardworking, bright, and excited about the next chapter of his life.

Tomorrow he gets up bright and early for work.
Welcome to adulthood.

  1. Hi! I am glad you were able to get enough tickets to attend Adam's graduation. It is important that each family member sees other family members graduating. Succeeding and moving on in life and following what God has in store for them as they travel on their Christian life journey is important also. Blessing, Pat
