Happy Birthday Rachel!

Rachel is our Christmas child.  Awesome as that is, we tend to celebrate her birthday early so that she gets her own special day.  Or in this case, over a few days.
All year she has been asking for boots.  Over and over she dropped hints that all she wanted was a pair of boots.  But not just any boots.  They had to be leather.  They had to go up to the knee.  She hoped they would have straps.  She went as far as to beg for 2 inch heels, but that wasn't happening.
But she was thrilled nonetheless!
After she put on her new boots, we went shopping and out to lunch.

The next day was community group.  Our friends brought her favorite-- cherry pie!
As 40+ people began to sing happy birthday, Oliver began to cry.  It was just too loud for his little ol' ears.
Happy 17th birthday to our amazing daughter Rachel!  She is a gem of a young woman.  We are blessed to be a part of her life.

  10. Hi!I love Rachel's boots. My daughter would like boots with the 2 inch heels on them also. But at my house that is not happening. But many of the children at the church actually have those high heel boots and can walk quite well in them I have never seen any girl fall. But I am not taking a chance with my daughter.Have a Blessed Year Ahead of You Rachel.Pat
