Our Christmas Tree

Last weekend we decorated our Christmas tree.  Though the kids only got a few ornaments each to hang up, they still had fun.
After the tree was finished we had fun taking family pictures.
This has been a tradition for the last two years and Rachel especially loves it.
John is pretending to bite Annalyn's ear to see if she could focus on the picture.
I'd say she did pretty well.
Jonny and Andrew making funny faces.
This Christmas is pretty special.  It marks one year of Galina being with us, except this year it is as our daughter, not just a girl we were doing respite for. :)
John can be so goofy.  As if they can actually dance. ;)
Merry Christmas!

  1. Hi! I've been reading your blog for a couple of years now but have never commented before. Seeing your family around the Christmas tree made me wonder about something. How do you "do" Christmas? More specifically, how to you buy Christmas presents? Do you spend a certain amount on each child, give a certain number of gifts, etc? I only ask because I find Christmas shopping for my tiny family overwhelming and I was wondering how you manage it without things getting crazy expensive!

  2. Love the pictures! It is wonderful to hear how well Galina is doing and truly a testament to your hard work as parents!

  3. Yay for one year. When do you finalize her adoption? Or have you?

  4. I second the question about the gifts; I "only" have 6 and it's a big job doing Christmas for us!
