Finally

We had another social worker visit last week for Galina's adoption.  Hopefully it was the last.  Finally the social worker came clean as to why she was waiting so long to finish up her home study report.  Since Galina had been with her previous adoptive family for nearly six years she wanted to make sure that Galina's placement in our family was a for sure thing.  After this last visit she commented on how different Galina looked-- so much more at peace... calm... happy that she feels comfortable moving forward with us signing the last of the paperwork.
To say we are thrilled is an understatement!
Here is Galina and I sporting our new necklaces.  The charms are actually pieces of Sveta's last pinch pot she made at art class.
Look at these two handsome boys!  Paul and Dennis both got haircuts tonight.  All of you were right about Dennis' swelling going down.  Thank you for your words of encouragement!  His eye is looking better and better each day!

Congratulations!
Christine, I just went back and looked at Dennis's pictures from before any surgery to today. It is AMAZING how much he has changed!

Woohoo! So glad to hear things are going well. :)

Dennis looks great and Paul looks SO happy. I know I always worry after Dorian's surgeries so it's totally normal. Glad the swelling has eased up and I'm sure you'll see even more improvement over the coming weeks.

I didn't realize Galina had been with her previous family so long. That is unusual, it seems to me.

What happened? What was the dynamic, do you think?
