Always a Beautiful Event

Matthew 28:19    Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

It's a pretty special thing.
Baptism... that is.
A shout to the Lord... and to the world that you are a believer.
Today six of our kids were baptized.
Hallelujah!

Here is Rachel and Dennis hanging out in the shade.  Both were a little shy to get up and join in on the fun.  It didn't take long though before both were swimming in the lake.
Up at an awesome place called Forest Falls, Sveta and Anastasia enjoyed kayaking.
Julia was launched up in the air from the Blob!
Paul, Andrew, and Jonny enjoyed kayaking.
Anna and Alex hanging out near the shore.
Oops!  Those three boys went the wrong way!
Galina, Sveta, and Anastasia had a blast.
Here's John about to launch Adam up into the air!
Here's William about to launch Andrew!
Here is Alex and I walking over to ride the kayaks.
Alex and Dennis had a blast riding the kayaks with John and I.
The kids said this slide was super fun!  Look at Adam go!
After talking with the kids and hearing their desire to be baptized while balancing our own thoughts on their readiness, here are the kids that got baptized today.
Galina
Anna
Andrew
William
Jonathan
And Adam.
May God richly bless you
As you take this step of faith
Being baptized in His name
And to walk within His grace
So you may always carry
The light of Jesus love
To those who may not have
Faith in God above.

  2. Beautiful post! We've been talking a lot recently about baptism with Oksana but as you wrote, it also had to do with yours and Johns feeling on their readiness. Oksana wants to but I really feel as though she doesn't understand what being baptized means, it's not just "getting a dunk in the lake" or a chance to go swimming. Ahh.. It's wonderful to see your kids make that step! :)
