Great Progress

Early this morning I drove William to school for his 5th grade graduation ceremony.

It was short and sweet.

It really got to me when I saw tears slide down William's cheeks on the ride home.

He is going to miss his teacher and friends.

This is amazing and wonderful for any child who struggles with social behavior.

A few years ago, I didn't see these types of feelings...

I didn't think William was that into relationships.

He could take or leave friends.

Things have changed.

For him

this is great progress.

I too was crying-- for completely different reasons.

William you have come a long way!

Congrats William! Does that mean he goes to junior high/ middle school next year? Usually here, grade 7 is junior high but in our new town it's grade 6. We also have another couple weeks of school, I think the last day is the 28th. Then back to school sept. 6th. What do you have planned for summer?
