After running at the park, Annalyn was in the kitchen with me. As I wiped off the counter she announced that she was going to sweep around the island because there was noticeable stuff on the floor from lunch.
Shocker-- but I beamed with happiness at this progress! What an amazing sign of responsibility and maturity for my daughter to see that something needed to be done and actually offering to do it-- without my prompting.
You don't know how long we have been working on this-- and then out of the blue, unexpectedly she goes and does it. Maybe it has something to do with her cleaning the bathroom for the first time today all by herself too.
Whatever the reason-- I encouraged her bunches!

Yea for Annalyn! I still have to prompt my kids. Sigh. Hopefully someday they'll catch on.
Looks like you're doing a wonderful job with the homeschooling! I love hearing about your progress. And I love learning right along with the kids.
