Today we went horseback riding. It was perfect weather too. The best part was that I didn't get lost on the maze of southern California freeways like I have the last two times so we arrived on time.

Annalyn took her turn cleaning out the hooves.

So did Galina.

Rachel did so well riding she actually worked up to a gallop.

I was excited to hear that this was Galina's first time riding a horse. She too did very well.

Anastasia loved "driving" her horse!

It's great that you can take so many of your children at a time. Right now just Jessica and I ride every other week because it is so expensive.
Now, see, my kids would have been scared to death of the horses, but all over that tractor! lol! Looks like you had a great time!
"G" looks so happy :)
Best homeschooling ever!
p.s. are those tangerines??? Yum! XD
What a wonderful experience for the kids. One of the perks of homeschooling!
We miss riding, but there is not really any place here that fits our schedule. Fortunately TKD and piano are keeping them happily entertained instead. Good for kids to have outside activities to look forward to. It looks like the kids are having a very good time! :)
Hi1 My children loved horseback riding lessons. My sister owns an indoor riding stables and finds that in the winter months it is nice to ride in an indoor riding arena. In Erie there is a professional horse back riding theraphy program for youth who are struggling with behavioral issues. Many of the youth in the program may not have very postive social skills when they start the riding program but by the time the riding program ends the service providers have noted there is a marked improvement in many of the riders social skills and behavior.Keep horsing around, Pat
