I can hardly believe it! I got all three kids' lesson plans done for tomorrow. Part of their day includes learning to type. Even little Jonny is learning the proper way to use the keyboard.

I hung up lots of pictures around the house including our big family picture when you first walk in the door.

John and the kids are working hard on the backyard. Trees and top soil are being delivered in the morning.

It has been nice having company all weekend but tomorrow they will all leave. Then in another week, my Mom will be back to help with Thanksgiving preparations. Per Adam's request she is planning on making five chocolate pies when she is here!

This week is parent teacher conferences for William, Paul, and Andrew-- hopefully I can get to know their teachers a little more.

how wonderful! I like the front door area with the pictures. :)
What program are you using for typing?
Hello Mrs. Reed,
I was wondering if the email address you have in your blogger profile is still current? I had emailed you a few weeks ago and not gotten a reply. I did say it wasn't urgent, but I just wondered if you had received the email.
Thank you,
Mary Catherine.
P.S. Your house looks so beautiful and I hope y'all are settling in well.
God Bless
Lesson plans... I remember those.
Your title made me think of the old Sesame Street counting videos. I hope no one has to go down a flight of stairs holding five chocolate pies.
The post title made me think, "Well, they must be getting settled in if they're up to baking!" And with pictures on the wall, it must be seeming like HOME.
Sounds like the adjustments are going smooth. Glad homeschool has brought you closer. I have my "me" time in the morning while my youngest 2 sleep. After Christmas though that free time will be gone since that's when homeschooling will start for me.
Scary story about the cat!! Glad it's ok!
Hi! I find it helpful to do weekly lesson plans. With the lesson plans I know what I have to do for each subject. Also my older children knew what material they had to cover for that day- it was black and white. No one could say they had no idea what was to be covered.Good luck, Pat
The front door picture area looks great. Hang in there with the lesson plans. Today I declared it Family cleaning day. No school. Just deep cleaning before the holidays. The kids are having fun together while they clean for mom. One of the things I love about homeschooling.
Blessings,
Julie
