Here is what we have been doing the past week.
Two weekends ago Julia helped me pack up the kitchen.
That same weekend I let the kids have friends over for the last time. It was hard to think that my kids would be leaving such amazing friends. I still grieve for them and I pray that they all keep in touch.
Julia also volunteered to scrape the ice in the freezer.

The boys enjoyed all the free space in the old house as we loaded the furniture onto the truck.

John, his Dad, and the boys packed these trucks to the hilt!

Our last meal was McDonald's since everything was on the trucks.

Nothing like eating on the floor!

John and I were pretty exhausted throughout the whole move but with family and friends to help out everything got done.

Grandpa drove down one truck.

My Mom reminded me the oher day that an hour before we were set to leave, one of the kids locked two sets of keys in the car. Oh yea, how could I forget? What fun! Good ol' AAA to the rescue!

And here we are at our new home. Rachel found the perfect spot for our big R.

We got all the furniture unloaded in two days.

Eating our first meal together in our new home.

Caleb putting together the beds in his room.

The weather was perfect for moving.

It was exciting to cook our first meal.

William enjoyed going through all our pictures that still need to be hung up on the wall.

On Halloween John carved three pumpkins with the kids. All of them helped out a little which was just enough for them to say they carved pumpkins without it being too overwhelming.

Anastasia couldn't believe how heavy the pumpkin was. When I bought it at the store, four of us guessed how much it would cost and I got the closest! It was over 26 pounds!

Caleb even wore a costume for awhile.
I let the kids eat all the Popsicles and ice-cream that day. They thought I was the best!

I couldn't believe the amount of junk and dust that had collected behind this hutch since I cleaned it only a few months prior. Yuck!

See... everything is coming together. I love the warm colors in our kitchen area.
Almost every box is out of the house since this picture.

We had attended a new church the evening before Halloween and they told us how they were having a huge family night which we decided to take the kids too. Paul and Anastasia had so much fun trying on all the different costumes!
William enjoyed going through all our pictures that still need to be hung up on the wall.

HUgs...
Wow! You made it. We've moved a lot of time but the USAF did the actual moving for us. We just had to clean out the junk and set everything back up in the next house. Good for Caleb doing the beds. That's not usually a very fun job.
Wow, I am overwhelmed just watching you guys! You did a lot since you moved in. Can't believe you started homeschooling and even carved pumpkins in the middle of getting settled. I am sure that having a bit of a norm quckly is going to help your kids adjust easier. Blessings!
Hi I am glad you are finally in your new home. It is sad to see your children leave their old friends but it will be great to see them make new friends.Keep the blog readers posted on your children's new friend. Life is a journey from the old to the new. Blessings, Pat

I am so full of envy, I almost have to pray about it - what a gorgeous kitchen! And sweet-natured children who will smile for photos.
You are so fortunate!
Looks like everything is coming together over there. I have been slower at blogging too with all the stress and changes here. My mind wants to blog but then I just sit and stare at the screen instead.
And then I take my turn at Scrabble on Facebook instead...
Looking good! Everything looks like it is coming together quite nicely. Just wondering who go the bedroom in the loft? We have watched the transformation with you and I was so curious to find out who ended up with that room. :)

Glad it's coming together! You must be exhausted. Praying for health and energy!
I love how all the kids help. It makes such special family times and it makes them skilled in so many areas.
A woman with two kids once said to me, as she thought my family of six kids, "Don't people just have a lot of kids to do all their work?" I replied, "Did it ever occur to you that if I didn't have all these kids, I wouldn't have any work to do?"
I love that you want a big family, even though it creates a lot of work, and that you and your kids work together, grow together and love together. May the Lord bless you in your new home.
I am glad to hear you are all adjusting nicely. I wish you and your family the best of luck!
