We looked at cows, sheep, and goats- many about to have babies.
We explored the fair and its many exhibits.
There was a free area that the kids could play around in.
After lunch, we headed over to the carnival games and rides.
Everyone had fun riding the different attractions. John and I were able to share the story about our first date which was to this fair exactly 17 years ago. When John went on my favorite ride "the Zipper" with me and got sick and I didn't even care, John said that is when he began ring shopping. :)
Considering how sick Anastasia got on the plane ride home, I wasn't sure if she would ever enjoy carnival rides. I was wrong! She enjoyed herself!
Paul, Jonny, and Andrew enjoyed this ride not once, but twice!
But once was more than enough for me.
Adam and Julia rode this upside down coaster!
Just look at the pictures--- Dennis did not enjoy any of the rides.
He was adamant about going on this car ride but after three rounds he wanted off! You can see in the background how much fun Sveta had though! So did Paul!

Do your older kids throw a fit about wearing matching shirts? I think my oldest who is only 12 would. You all looked like you had a great time!
I love the matching shirts!
It is harder as they get older, but so worth all the effort.
Glad you had such a wonderful day!
What a great day!! We still enjoy doing this kind of thing whenever we get a chance to even with our now big kids:-) So much fun to be together as a family like that!
Love it! Treasure these times because you're right as they grow and go times together are fewer and farther in between but just as precious, if not more so!!
Much love!
Lisa
The photos of your kids in the coloured shirts on the high swings looks very cool!
Quite an accomplishment to get everyone to wear matching shirts AND be able to go together! But, really -- if anyone could do it, it's you, Christine. :)
Great photos of a great day!
Blessings,
Laura
So glad you had a good day. Looks so fun!
Looks like a fun time.
We don't have fairs over here...but we have festivals as well as carnivals and neither of them look quite so fancy
I love to put my kids in a bright color like orange so I can find them in a crowd. I love the pic of the three blond boys together. so blond and so much alike!
Oh wow! You got some precious pictures and captured some really neat emotions. :)
Our state fair is going on right now too. :)
Looks like you guys had so much fun! That story of you and John's first date is so sweet!
Looks like fun was had by all . . . though Dennis definitely doesn't look too happy in some of those pics! Was he still feeling ill?
It's so neat to see Anastasia looking SO happy. She's lost that sad look in her eyes and looks genuinely happy. Good to see.
Also, I just love how your kids just all fit in together. The three blond boys look almost like triplets!
How fun! I love fairs. Our fair was in September. We live just blocks from it and went every night for food and fun, but then, I didn't have 16 to take.
Wow you got some awesome shots and that looks like so much fun!!!!!
