Twenty Things I Love....

about our new home to be.

1. It's on a Cul-de-sac.
2. Has a three car garage and a one car garage.
3. The three car garage looks like it just might might fit my van.
4. The one car garage can house all of the kids' bikes and toys without them needing to go into the other garage.
5. It is brand new.
6. The price is substantially lower than the other homes we had seriously considered and or made offers on.
7. The lot is nearly .4 acres.
8. No sliding glass doors to keep open, slam, or get the screen off the track!
9. It has the hugest kitchen we have ever had! Cooking for 16 with lots of elbow room!
10. Double ovens.
11. Smooth surface counter tops in the kitchen for rolling out cinnamon rolls!
12. Lots of cupboards.
13. Lots of storage.
14. Dark colored brown carpet.
15. Tile under our dining room table.
16. Five toilets!
17. Only 20 minutes to John's work.
18. Close to a long time friend who moved away 10 years ago.
19. Kitchen sink back splash is not a window that always has water spots-- which eliminates one less things to clean.
20. It is part of a homeowners association that has two pools!

You forgot to say, "it has wonderful wall space for our kids' pictures." That is what I see in the photo you posted!! Can't wait to see your personal touches go up on those walls and in those rooms!

Sounds wonderful and perfect for your family. It is amazing how God works in even the small things in our lives and leads us to just the perfect home. God did the same for us. He knew we would add to our family and gave us the perfect home to do just that in. Would love to see more pics. How many bedrooms? Figured out the sleeping arrangements yet? What am I thinking....of course you have. :) Thanks for sharing.

I am so happy for you. The huge kitchen would be a dream! How many bedrooms? What line of work is hubby in? Does he like his new workplace? Have you been able to tour the kids schools? We did when we came out house hunting in may and a huge difference for us.
I am so excited for you all. You must share some more pitures when you can. The house sounds amazing.

You are so fortunate. I am really happy for you. And just as I was feeling sorry for myself - instead, suddenly, I was overwhelmed with delight that YOU, who have given a wonderful home to so many children who need it, have that great house - instead of (as I see so often) a couple without kids, who just spend their time decorating their "showplace". One acquaintance who lived in a house that big, with just her husband and one daughter, confessed to me that if it weren't for her husband (a builder) she would never want to live there - that it was so big it scared her and made her lonely, and her daughter was often terrified when she couldn't find her in all that space. YOUR house will be buzzing with activity! How wonderful!
