Today we had some friends over and they have an Olympus underwater camera. What a treat-- they took some photos of the kids. Whoever said it was a great camera--you were right! I think they turned out great! Thanks Brian and Claudette!

This is what the kids are doing now. :)

Earlier they played duck duck goose.
Anastasia can't help herself anymore. She is always smiling. :)

Two more cuties at the park.
Anastasia and Paul want to go swimming all the time so we are in the pool at least four hours a day.

Here is the picture I couldn't wait to get! Paul loves Dolly, Misty, and our kitty Bello!

Paul is pretty much swimming. He just doesn't have the confidence to swim in the deep end without a floaty device-- but he will soon!
That's Paul on the left swimming under water.

Julia is my creative crocheter. She has made this adorable purse.

I told her she should sell them on my blog-- but she isn't sure anyone would want to buy them. If you are interested-- let me know-- they are adorable!

I totally want one of those purses! And Anastasia has a beautiful smile! Glad she's showing it off! :)
i'd pay good money for a purse just like that design & colors!
it's so great to see Anastasia smiling for real! what do you guys call her at home? does she still go by Nastia or do you call her Anastasia or something else?
also, i hope you'll take this question the right way... but i was wondering what your newest kids think if having siblings with both physical AND mental disabilities, like how they handle it. this is the first time you've adopted kids old enough to really have much of an opinion since Sveta, Dennis, and Alex have been home... and you've posted before about how sometimes kids you've just met or see in public aren't exactly accepting. obviously it hasn't been very long, so things like Sveta's FAS may not have really sunk in for them yet, but Dennis's appearance is something they'll have noticed straight away. have they accepted & seen past that yet? of course i think he is GORGEOUS and absolutely ADORABLE, so please take this the way i'm intending, i'm just wondering how they've reacted & if you discussed it all with them before coming back from Ukraine. :-)
if Julia decides to make those purses to sell, please let us know - i'll order one as soon as she does! i have to carry meds with me at all times, plus my emergency MedicAlert cards, so i have to have a purse of some sort with me every time i leave my house. literally. and it's hard to find cute purses these days! :-P

I seem to be leaving this comment a lot recently: have you thought about setting up an etsy shop for Julia's and Rachel's cretions? My sister has one and while she can't make a living out of it she raised quite a bit of money towars sending her kids and some othrs to Camp Lauder ($1000/kid)
I'm glad to see them making so much progress!
Those underwater pictures are cool.
Your daughter is very creative and crafty. Is there a farmer's market on weekends in your area where she might go to sell her crocheted items?
Love that first photo. Glad your newest family members are happy.
It has been such a blessing to read all that's been going on such you arrived home. Please keep sharing how Anastasia and Paul are adjusting and how you deal with the challenges that come up. We still have so much that needs to be resolved with our most recent adopted one before the two new ones come home; I value all the lessons on older kid adoption that I learn from the Reed family!! :) Blessings, Jennifer
I think people will buy those cute purses! I am a crocheter myself and often consult www.ravelry.com for cute ideas. It's a great database of patterns instead of searching all over the web!
I would LOVE one of those purses ...to take my stuff to work in, odds and ends that I take to work that is; phone chargers, memory sticks, mp3 players and such... it would be ssoooo much more amazing and safe than what I use now --- plastic walmart bag [money has been thrown away literally as a result more than once] and have been looking for something about that size. Let me know cause I am sure in!
How much (and will you) ship to Canada? I love the purse and love to support young people!

Good job in the pool.
that purse is AWESOME! I know my daughter would love one too! also check out ETSY a great sight to put handmade things on, what a great little cottage industry.
I just wanted to suggest that you an Julia check out Raverly.com. It's a free site for fiber artists. It is over 600,000 members strong. I don't work for them, but love the site, as it is full of free patterns that others have posted. I think Julia would enjoy it.
WOW! I love that purse!! How much for one? It's perfect!
