I wish I could understand how my one son's brain works. Seriously. It would answer a lot of questions I have.
Yesterday Adam accidentally spilled his cup of juice. Not on purpose, not for attention, not to be a goof off, not because he wanted a different drink, nor for any other reason I can think of. It was totally an accident which he wiped up immediately.
End of story.
Well not quite.
One of my other sons saw this and proceeded to walk over to the grass and spill out his drink to be like his brother. He exclaimed smiling, "Oops, I spilled my drink just like Adam did."

That one would baffle me, too....
It can be tiring trying to figure kids out sometimes. Strange creatures aren't they? :)
Maybe he is jealous of Adam????? And wants to be like him.
My youngest son used to do this a lot! It was not until our middle daughter told us that all the boys used to do it in the detsky dom if they did not like what they had to drink. I know Adam did not live in a detsky dom, but it is funny that it is the same behavior!
It's the mind of a scientist, I think LOL! They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
lol he has an admiration for his brother that runs SO deep that he just wants to do everything adam does...
Our bio. son with Tourettes would imitate behavoirs or even eat foods he did not like because his "best" buddy was doing it. If while roller skating Daniel fell so did Ben just exactly like Daniel. If Daniel ate 2 hotdogs so did Ben ( he hates hotdogs) ... His tourettes manifests itself by compulsive behaviors ... we would call it " compulsing to Daniel" or whomever it was Ben was attached to. It was weird to see but eventually he has outgrown this compulsion towards people - sometimes it will appear in other areas.
