He Was a Trooper

Got back from the dentist a little while ago. Julia had a regular cleaning. Dennis was a trooper. The wonderful and amazing pediatric dentist was very gentle, used very little nitrous oxide so as to not scare him, and managed to attack two cavities without numbing him. He did cry a little, but overall-- he did great.

Dennis needed a pulpectomy for his upper front tooth we were told last visit, but it has since died and turned black when he hit it on the play place. That tooth will be pulled next week. The dentist plans to use more nitrous now that Dennis knows what to expect with the mask.

Thanks for your prayers.

Now if you don't mind, I am going to go lay down with my boys and take a cat nap. I feel guilty though.... I really should be grocery shopping.

Out of sliced bread--- check.

Down to the last gallon of milk--- check.

Completely out of butter--- check.

Only one lonely, brown banana in the fruit basket--- check.

But it can wait. Till evening, when I take Julia shopping for a birthday present for her friend.

Christine, I'm so glad it went well!

A lonely brown banana is always an invitation for me to make "Sour Cream Banana Bread"- my kids (only 6!) slurp up 2 loaves as soon as it's cool enough to eat! Let me know- i'd be delighted to share the recipe with you!
Blessings-
Deb

Christine, I don't think I have ever commented on your blog before, but I read it regularly--right after my daughter's and I enjoy reading about your family. Recently you wrote about being frustrated with the work you were doing with disrupted adoptions and respite. I just want you to know that I would not have found my youngest daughter if it hadn't been for you and I thank you so much for what you have done for so many of us. Our adoption will be finalized in July and we're all looking forward to making it official. Thanks again for caring so much for all the kids. (And have a great trip back to Ukraine).

Jean
