Well, they are both adorable pictures, that is why! :)
Wow! They have both changed so much. Dennis of course, is a growing boy and is so much more mature than when he first came home. And Alex, is just beaming. I remember when you first posted Ales's picture on your blog, looking to see if anybody was interested.... he was adorable, but he also had a look that reminded me of Erika. It was a look of a child who so needed to be loved; a child who had haunting circles under the eyes... I don't know if I can explain it, other than the word, "concentration camp look" comes to mind..... So GLAD they are both home with you.
They are just too cute together! How will Dennis hold up when Alex is off to Kindergarten this year? My younger child misses his sister so much! They are used to always being together.
Both are great and capture the boys so well. It's hard to believe they've only been brothers for a year but then they were together the years before that in the orphanage and developed their close bond. How wonderful that they now are brothers in your family.
After a long day of travelling, I am stranded at JFK airport overnight. Those smiling faces sure cheered me up! Your youngest boys are SO cute together!
After reading that someone thought young children might be scared of Dennis. It's about me, but I can't remember it because I was too young.I believe that the younger the child the more accepting they will be of others differences, or that they simply don't notice the unusual because everything is new and wonderful.
When I was a toddler I was a young baby in a pram and wanted to go and admire her. My parents agreed and we went over to coo over the baby. Her dad was amazed, his daughter had a severe facial deformity. He told my parent's that it was the first time strangers had stopped to tell him his daughter was beautiful.
They are both adorable pictures, but I just LOVE the second one for some reason! I can't believe how grown up Alex looks, he looked the same age or even younger than Dennis (I thought) when you first brought him home, but you can definitely tell he's older now :) You've got two beautiful little lads there!
