"That's My Baby!"

Miss O brought these to our house. Rachel was so excited to eat them with her! She can't wait to go to Ukraine when we adopt. She has informed me that she will be buying a few bags of these exact sunflower seeds. Isn't the bag adorable?

My kids are weird. Why?

Because they do weird things like drink soda out of an empty eggshell with a straw. To me that is just weird. :)

Tonight we had company. We babysat for two little ones. One a newborn, slept the whole time-- the other six months old, was always in one of our arms. The boys enjoyed making the older one smile.

Dennis kept telling me that the baby I was holding was his baby!

Awww, that was so sweet of Dennis! And yes it is weird to drink soda out of egg shells but that also takes a bit of talent mixed in.

What a sweetie that Dennis is. He must have been disappointed when "his" baby left. :(

I think all kids do and say weird things. I guess that's part of what makes for interesting a fun memories years later. :)

WOW!!! Really?? Why would *anonymous* think that a baby that you are siting for would be afraid of Dennis? Are they naive enough to think parents just dropped the babies off and didn't know your family already!?!?! Surely they would get to know a family before dropping off one of their children to a sitter....or at least I hope so!!!

I do know how you feel...sort of.
We get all kinds of stares, comments, snickers, etc. I just chalk it up to bad parenting!! Why do parents not expect manners from their children in todays society??

Sorry, this just really struck a nerve with me today!! Dennis is precious!! Anyone who doesn't see that, is obviously very shallow!

Blessings,
Carla

Christine, there is many European/Russian/Slavic/Ukranian food markets in the US. The go by different names but I am positive there are several in California. There are also on-line stores. Here is a link to the Russian sunflower seeds you can order in the US: http://www.russiantable.com/store/find.asp?find_spec=%F1%E5%EC%E5%F7%EA%E8
Our family loves sunflower seeds and we buy them all the time.
