Today was Jonny's field trip to Home Depot. It was walking distance from the school so a bus wasn't necessary, and Home Depot covered the rest of the costs-- making it free! I hear of so many districts cutting back on this and that--- with field trips being the first thing to go. Thankfully, the kindergarten teachers at our school have found places for our kindergartners to go and explore "for free." Our guide was a hit with all the children. Can you guess who she reminded me of when she called one of the kids a potato?

She gave us all a tour of the store and played some fun games along the way. One game was trying to get as many kids into this shower as possible. Can you believe that 13 fit inside?

After the tour, the kids got to make a planter. After gluing and hammering his stand together, Jonny planted jalapeno and cilantro seeds in potting soil.
Home Depot even provided the kids with snacks! Can't beat that!
After this picture, I teased Jonny about the big kiss I promised to give him. He shyly whispered that I can't kiss him in front of his friends.

You wanna make a bet?
Smiling.
