I AM ADOPTED

Just Julia and Jonny were in the van with me the other day running an errand. Out of the blue, Jonny asked Julia if she was adopted. I am pretty sure he knew the answer so when she answered yes, he looked at her quizzically. I used this time to explain how when you accept Jesus into your heart and ask God to be your Heavenly Father He adopts you as His Child and that is why Julia answered yes.

"Hopefully one day you will choose to be adopted too Jonny," I said.

To which he shouted-- "I AM ALREADY ADOPTED MOM!"

And of course happy tears immediately ran down my face and confirmed in my heart that the path that John and I are walking down-- though not always easy-- is the one that God paved especially for us.
