No.... Don't Shoot the Brownies

Dennis is just three years old... home a year and a half... and I can hardly believe that he was ever adopted. This child is mine through and through. Half the time he drives me nuts... but he more than makes up for it with his beautiful spirit, amazing personality, cuddly tendencies, and adorable way he lives life to the fullest. You know he is a Reed by the way he sticks out his tongue when he concentrates.
Don't shoot the brownies Dennis, or I'll tickle you!

Amazing how much we have been through together and bonded with all his surgeries... a blessing in the midst of hard times. As he slowly moves into the next phases of his reconstructive surgeries, I know that we will experience more hard times. Somehow though, these surgeries just aren't as hard as they used to be. We both know what to expect.... I know how to soothe and comfort him.... he relies on and trusts my ability to comfort him exactly how he needs. A match made in heaven.

You know Christine, this may sound strange, but Dennis has blessed us, too. He is so endearing, my children always want to see him, we love him! You have inspired me to look into adoption, but at this time we have things here that we have to deal with with a few of our kids....so it is on the back burner. But thanks so much for sharing, and keep seeking Him in everything, it is so encouraging.

We have all come to love Dennis. From the first time I saw his picture, way back when you first committed to adopt him, I knew he belonged with you. Alex too. What a blessing that you all have so many people praying for you and your family. And what a blessing that we can be a small part of all that.

"A match made in heaven" really sums it all up. When I first saw pictures of Dennis I thought, "he is so lucky to have found such a wonderful family to be a part of" now all I can think is just how lucky your family is to have Dennis.

That picture just brings such a big smile to my face - and even without your lovely words. It is so clear that it was a match made in heaven! Lucky little boy - but lucky mama, too.

Oh goodness! Dennis with that determined "biting his bottom lip" look about made me spew my coffee when I laughed. Thank you for a much needed belly laugh!! He is too precious.
