Chasing Geese

Today was such a nice day that I decided to take the kids to the park. I called up my friend Denise to see if she wanted to join us with her kids who happen to be close friends to all of my kids. Since she had to make the drive out, I made lunch.
Around noon we headed out.
As soon as the kids saw the geese, they didn't stand a chance.

So much to explore

Back to the geese
Annalyn was ambitious

Dennis ruled this castle

Lunch was simple yet enjoyed by all

The kids had fun swinging on the fronds
The day at the park was wonderful
It was so hot...

the kids came home and went swimming
in 59 degree water
What crazy kids!

Now I am so wishing I'd taken pictues of our actually very pretty, but very SNOWY day. A bit cold, too....but my diet cokes are nice and cold out in the car.

I thought my son was the only crazy kid that jumped in the pool today but I guess your boys had the same thought! The water was 60 and it was only 64 outside! Oh to be a kid!

That pool temp is too cold for me.

I was outside working in the yard and loving our gorgeous spring day. I'll be out there again tomorrow afternoon.

What a cool park! It looks enormous! We don't have anything like that here because land/space is of such a high premium on O'ahu.

Looks like a lovely day at the park! What fun :) I remember when Brian was a toddler... he loved to chase ravens. They'd just hop along in front of him, not letting him get close, but not flying away either. They're smart birds and actually seemed to be playing with him... and of course, he loved it! Little kids are fascinated by birds :)

I just read a column written by a vet in Country Living and one question was about geese. It said to keep kids away from areas where geese are/have been because of the ecoli and other bacteria is the feces. Geese feces looks like that from a small dog and is green and can blend in with the grass. I'm just passing along what I read by the vet.

7 INCHES of snow in Texas! I never remember snow at this time of year, and so much! That warm weather looks oh so nice. :)

Love those kind of days! It's just so much easier to hang out at home but getting out making memories lasts a lifetime...even those 'simple lunches'.

Park days and being outside are my favorite kind of days. I am so glad you visited my blog. When my computer crashed over 6 months ago I lost many blogs I followed, I did not have a back up to my bookmarks. I am so happy, now I can enjoy your inspiring blog again. I have lots to catch up on. Many blessings.
