Bacon

Bacon can sure be a pain to cook up for a big crowd. A few years back I tried different ways to make the task simpler. I tried microwaving it, broiling it, and I even bought the precooked stuff so all I had to do was heat it up. None of these ways were quicker or easier and they certainly left a huge mess for me to clean up not to mention almost starting an oven fire one time.

But finally, I found a way that is quick, simple, and easy to clean up.

Now we can enjoy bacon with little effort!

Our family loves bacon with breakfast, but it is a pain. It does make a mess, smell up the house, and it so unhealthy. But maybe I'll try it like your pictures and it will be a little easier. Thankfully, we only have it once in a while! :)

I do it like this & then I use paper towels to soak up the grease as it oozes out of the bacon-makes it crisper....

Bacon can be yummy, but it is such a mess and what to do with all that grease! We usually do not have it unless we go out for breakfast.

Actually when we cook it ( and the kids love it) but we don't too often... we broil some and we fry ours like you but we use our tall soup pans so it splatters less using the tall pan... we cook for at least 25 of us and for the same reasons mentioned by others we just don't eat it too often ( to messy and to unhealthy)... it is a treat though when we do.I laughed at all of your methods though.. I have tried them as well.

Mmm bacon... I'm interested though - it wouldn't ever occur to me to cook it any other way. How do most people cook it?

I'm with Tia. This is pretty much the only way we cook it. We have done it on the BBQ when we've had lots of people to cook for. What other ways are there?

I love Bacon!!! I made it this way when I worked at camp in a big cast iron skillet over an open fire YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY. I also love chocolate... but a friend at work gave me chocolate with bacon in it (think a crunch bar with bacon insted of rice) NOT GOOD!

broiling it is SOOO less messy! all the fat drains into the bottom of the pan an it cooks perfectly! we had broiled bacon for dinner the other night lol. then there's no bacon grease splatter all over the stove..and burning my arms as it spits!!
