What an Inspiration!

What an amazing story of a young girl from a large family-- she's on American Idol this season! One of twelve, she comes from an adoptive family who have embraced children with Downs Syndrome. She is an inspiration!

LOVE THAT SONG! and also I love the way she sings it. she is a wonderful singer. I have a question for you. how did you know that your kids were your kids? I mean how did you know that it was DENIS you were supposed to have and not someone else? With Sophie I was absolutely certain, Ben pleasantly surprised. but now we are looking at going back and I am feeling torn...

She is Griffin's favorite, too. She saw that part of the show and said right away that she would be cheering for Maddy! Also, my sister-in-law called and mentioned that she is excited to watch how she does on the show! :)

That made me tear up! Beautiful, and not just her voice! I love children/people with Down syndrome--- they are some of the sweetest people God created. To think that, because of fetal testing, 90% are aborted. :(

Pretty certain I've read a book written by this girl's mom! It was one that confirmed my conviction about adopting! So neat to see something current about her family! Thanks!

Wow--I had tears running down my face. We have a 16 year old with Down syndrome and his siblings don't think he's any different than anyone else. Great to see!
