No Electricity

Spent a good portion of the day at the Occularist for Dennis' new prosthesis. During the last stretch of the process the electricity went out-- lots of rainstorms going on here in California. We have to go back to the office on Thursday! Can't wait! I will also get to visit with my Mom and sister more while we are up in that neck of the woods.

Julia is loving her vocal and piano classes! This is like her seventh year of piano-- but it is her very first vocal class. She is having fun!

Adam is continuing on with electric guitar and Andrew still takes piano classes with Grandma. Grandma is teaching Jonny and whoever else wants to learn so we will see who takes a serious interest next!

I am sad to report that Jonny is running a fever so I am off to bed where I have him tucked in nice and cozy!

Good night!

Praying for health for all of you! I brought the Seattle weather with me to S. CA today. Sorry! :) I go home again Friday so I hope it returns with me...

I was actually coming over here tonight to ask you a question about kids getting sick and coincidentally one of your little ones has a fever. How do you cope when the kids get sick? Especially when it's contagious. I only have 4 with a 5th on the way and feel overwhelmed when sickness strikes. We have a stomach bug moving its way through right now :( Any survival tips?

Hooray for eye doctors!
In my childhood memory I cans till hear the voice of my ophthalmologist down the halls of the hospital... kind of scary, kind of comforting. Not long ago I wrote him a thank you for the ability to see well in both eyes all those years. Now that my eye sight is struggling I am so thankful for those years of 20/20 vision.
I am looking forward to seeing Dennis with his new eye too!

I am waiting patiently. Someday when Julia and Adam sudenly realize that they have free and unlimited access to my recording "studio"-where I can record them on half track reel to reel, mix and edit it any way they want and then transfer it to CD for posterity so they can hear themselves and show it off, I will hope that I am stocked with enough tapes! LOL. Indeed one of the things I did when I set it up was run a spare feed line in anticipation of doing just that. They haven't taken me up on it yet and I was toying with the idea of removing that cable. But maybe I'll leave it in a little while longer. Does Julia still have that rough mix dub-over that I made for her? She was so proud to make it but embarassed to listen to it.

And yeah. Jenn reported the power outage to me too. Anyway, I'll see y'all this weekend I guess. Love you all.
