Our Triangle

I just love this guy-- more than I ever imagined loving a person. He is always there for me through thick and thin. He makes me feel special and always manages to make me laugh, and that is saying alot. We both bring out the best in each other--- he is truly my very best friend. The most amazing thing is how close we continue to grow together as we both get closer to God. John and I are one with God being our glue. That is not to say that we do not have our moments-- what couple doesn't, but because we both love the Lord with all of our hearts, we always come back together because God never really let us get too far apart to begin with.

With Christ truly at the center of a marriage, a marriage cannot fail. As we both strive to get closer to God, we naturally get closer in our marriage. I don't even want to imagine what our marriage would be like today without God---- we lived without Him the first few years of our marriage and looking back it is like day and night.

What a wonderful triangle, which we have found to be very real, and the secret to a great marriage!

Christine, your hair looks so pretty, and that is a lovely picture...

I know exactly what you are talking about. Our marriage has been blessed, too, because we have learned how to humble ourselves. When we each have the mind to forgive and to be good to the other, when we no longer care about "being right", or arguing about things, then things just get better and better. I do not understand how a marriage could work without God. Especially with a large family and all the potential stress!

Thank you for sharing!

I agree with you 100%. My husband and I have had a good marriage, but at the beginning of 2008 I read Power of a Praying Wife and prayed for my husband daily and still do. It is amazing how God had made changes in me and made our marriage so incredibly strong. The past 2 years have been so much better than all the rest. Who knew all it needed was a little more God?
