We, on the east coast, have about an hour and 20 minutes until the New Year. For a short time we will be in 2010 while you remain in 2009. I'm seriously thinking about going to bed, but there is some pumpkin pie calling me from the kitchen...
Here at the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle, we got to do karoke (new to shyish me) and had dinner catered. People are so generous with their time and resources.
I've got most of my family with me tonight, and the children are having fun being together again, even if it's for just a little bit before school starts again.
My New Year's wish is for this time next year to have a leukemia-free toddler, and our family all together back our own home.
We spent the evening with our best friends celebrating our Christmas and New Years together. We were outta there by 12:30...lol The kids were with us of course, so that's why. The three youngest fell asleep on the ride home, our three oldest are out on their own.
2010...not sure what the Lord has in store for us this year, as of yet He hasn't let us in on it ;o)
I hope you had a great evening ringing in the New Year with your family. I had a wonderful evening at home with my husband and 4 kids. We had lots of yummy snacks and drinks, watched movies and played board games. Here in Germany the do things up big with fireworks across the whole town so at midnight we got to see a wonderful show of fireworks. It was amazing and the kids loved it. We played Auld Lang Syne as the kids played kazoos, blew whistles and banged on pot lids with spoons. It was so much fun. My one hope for 2010 is that we are finally able to come back to the USA so that we can be back with all our family and friends. I miss everyone so much. Germany is beautiful but I am ready to be back home. Our prayer is that we can finally be settled in one place for more than 3 years. I need that and my kids definitely need that. Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks for sharing a year of your life with all of us. I look forward to reading about the next year of your life too and of course seeing pictures of your beautiful children. God Bless you and your family in the coming year.
Happy New Year!! I have loved reading your posts this year and look forward to reading in 2010! Here's our evening: http://neveradullmomentinthecastle.blogspot.com/

We started 2010 as the parents of 4 boys. Pretty radical, if you ask me. :-D
Happy 2010 with all the blessings you need for the year!
