My Very First Giveaway!

I was so excited when this came in the mail! Isn't it beautiful? And it expresses my feelings perfectly. It is a wonderfully crafted plaque that is beautifully painted and stenciled personally for me. Click on the picture to get a closer look at how fine it is made. Over at Danielson Designs you can check out all of the different plaques and picture frames that they have to choose from. Each one can be personalized to fit your faith, decor, and personality.
Well now you can enter my very first giveaway to win something that will go perfectly in your own home. Please visit Danielson Designs and design your own unique special something. Please make sure it is $40.00 or less. To enter the giveway, please leave a comment.... something like this, "I really like #1148 and I would put my daughter Lisa's name on it." This giveaway will go for two weeks and will end on December 7th. The winner will get their very own personalized sign sent to their home at the end of the giveaway. 1. I really like #1140 in Bambino Blue and I would put Jack's name on it, the little boy I watch who is turning one in two week! Thank you for doing this giveaway, Christine!

  2. How fun!

    I really like design #1084

My quote would be, "When the pain of staying becomes greater then the fear of leaving, then it's time to go." And I would label it "Rule of thumb"

It's a great rule of thumb to keep in mind in many of life's circumstances.

    Thanks for a chance!

praying for you all as you walk through this 'unreal feeling' week.

    Ruth in Texas

  3. Christine this is such a kind offer on this giveaway. I would be interested in (Style 1140) with Ashley Olga's name on it and date that we got her of September, 07, 2007 she would love it with a picture of me and her in it.

  4. cool, I'm the first to post a comment. I love signs like these. The one I would like is "Dear Santa, we really did try" and since you can only add 2-3 names and we have 5 kids, we'd have her put "The Maples' Angels" on it.
Thanks so much and I hope I win :)
p.s. we leave friday for Serbia to get our baby girl!!

  5. I love Style 1011 and how it repeats the quote on the shadow layer. I'd change the quote to Psalm 51:10. I think I would either hang it in my livingroom or over the front door, but from the inside (to see before leaving my house).

  6. I'll play.....My choice would be 1135. It's something I need reminded of, all the time.

I spent 9 days in a psychiatric unit about a month ago and am still recovering from severe depression which was triggered by changing my antidepressant.

During the time I was preparing for the hospital and also while I was there an internet friend sent me this verse several times.

It's something i know but would do well to be faced with ona daily basis. (I'm thinking it would go in the bathroom beside the mirror where I have to see it every day.)

  7. Christine -

I love the plaque you designed. But I also like the plaque #1135 to put in my children's rooms! Have a good day!

  8. Christine,

I have been praying for you and your family. I even had my small life group (we meet at my house for bible study once a week) add your family to their prayer lists. I know you are being strong, but it is just as important to let yourself mourn. Let me know if I can help.

As for the give away...I WOULD LOVE #1060! I would make it for my dear friend who gave me my sweet puppy for my 40th bday. If you want to read how that all came about feel free to visit my blog.

    lOVE , TERRY

  9. Great giveaway! I love personalized items like these! If I won, I would love one of the holiday picture frames to put a photo of our family in...either Holiday Angels, Snow Angels or Holidays Together!

  10. Christine,
Those are beautiful! I love #1020 (the monogram) Dennis and I never got anything with our wedding date. I'd love that in my living room!

  11. How beautiful they are! I love #1034, in the Bambino Blue, and I would put her name, ShaoXi, and then: You are the very best part of my life! What an awesome Christmas gift this would be! :)

    Nancy in CT

  12. I would like 1013 and would make it for my brother and his wife making it say "Waiting to meet you! Baby (their lastname)". And I would use it to but an ultrasound picture in.

  13. I love your sign! it is so cute. i went over and chose #1068 and designed it with:

"The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."

    the wentzels

We are foster parents and currently have our first 2 foster children and I thought this would be ADORABLE over a framed picture of the kids.

    love your blog btw :)

  14. Hope you & your family are doing well! Awww I love personalized stuff, the sign looks great!

If I win, I would like: Style 1020 with the intial 'B' and 'F.B. & Sarah' with the date: December 19, 2009.

  15. I love #1034 in Bambino Blue with the quote "dream with your eyes wide open" for my young blue loving, full of dreams daughter, Davan.

  16. What a neat giveaway!!

Are you fundraising for someone in particular?

  17. I absolutely love 1139 & would put my daughter's name on it. Since I have twin girls, if I won, I would definitely order another for her sister! I would probably order one in pink & the other green. I would find the perfect quote on adoption to add.

  18. So really hard to decide I like Style 1010 and Style 1139, I would put my dd's name and if I did 1139 I would put an adoption quote in it...but not sure which one

  19. If I won I'd choose #1023 :) And our last name is Taylor :)

  20. Great giveaway - but is it open to international readers?

I love #1149 with our family name on of course!
    They have such beautiful products!

  21. love #1018.

i think i would make it a quote of my own... a tribute to the birthmoms of my two russian daughters, thanking God for their lives and for giving my daughters life.

  22. I love 1010 and I'd put my sisters name and either

Little one so tender and true, I will always and forever love you.

Little ray of sunshine who brightens up my day, your smile and your laughter chase the clouds away.

  23. I love the Photo Frame (Style 1100). My dad passed away two months ago and I would love to put one of his last pictures taken in it. I would use the quote by George Eliot..."Blessed is the influence of one true, loving human soul on another."

I have lived in Ukraine and work with orphans, so I was not able to see my dad for a year before he died. Thankfully I spoke to him by phone everyday up until the day he died.

  24. This would be a nice gift for my parensts for Christmas. My son is their first grandchild and they are completely infatuated with being grandparents! :) I like style number 1023 - and I love that quote. I've actually used it on a scrapbook page before. I would go with the blue background.

    frankandkatie at gmail dot com

  25. I don't know if its to late to enter.

I have always wanted to get a personalized sign with my favorite quote. My favorite quote is too small for most of their signs but I found one that I could adapt to accommodate it.
    Style 1138 in Cottage Blue
I would put INSPIRE for the name
    and for the quote:
We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life but what we give.
and I would probably leave out the attribution

I read your blog regularly but don't quote much. You have a beautiful family and I appreciate that you seem to keep things real.

I find your comments so inspiring! Thanks for visiting our family blog, and sharing your thoughts.
