Bless Both Their Hearts

Thank you for all of your prayers and supportive words about my Dad. It does comfort me to know that so many people are thinking of our family and lifting us up. No one should have to go through something like this alone. There is no real improvement...... bless his heart, and in the next few days some difficult decisions will need to be made. For the most part..... I have peace. I printed some pictures of my Dad and slipped one of them into my bible study binder. I smile when I look at his picture and it brings me joy to remember the good times with him. I still pray for a miracle.

Early tomorrow morning Dennis is having surgery to put tubes in his ears. Poor little guy may finally get relief......... and hear the world around him...... and I imagine this opening up a whole new world to him.

Thank you again. Hope you are all well.

  1. Christine, I am so sorry about your dad. Does he live close enough for you to see him? I have heard that sometimes people can still hear even when they can no longer respond and do not seem to be aware of what's going on. Is there someone who could share the gospel with him, yet again, even in this difficult hour?

I will be praying for your family.

  3. Not only will he hear better but he'll have less ear infections too.

My granddaughter had the drains put in her ears.

Sorry to hear that your father is no better - so difficult for you and your family.

  8. I'm so sorry about your dad, Christine. We'll be keeping your family in our prayers.

Jonathan got tubes when he was a little guy and hasn't had an ear infection since. It was the best medical decision we've made for him!

  10. Christine,

Please know your Dad, you and all your family are in my prayers. Praying for a complete healing of his heart and most importantly, his salvation.

Praying Dennis does well with his surgery and flourishes even more once he can hear better.

Please keep us updated tomorrow on both of them.

Lord please heal Christine's Dad, we know it is in your power to bring him through this with a strong heart and mind. Be with Christine and give her strength and peace as she seeks your will for her father's life. Give Dennis strength and rapid healing for this surgery and may his speech and hearing blossom. In Christ, Amen.

  16. Christine,

My thoughts go you to you and your family. I hope your dad is able to heal. What an awful call to receive.

I hope your dad can make use of this book: Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease by Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr, M.D. Personally, I would get it and read it before making any decisions about bypasses or stints.

I'm sending healing thoughts for your dad.
