I got Caleb to move it out and sweep it up for a candy bar. I love having teenagers!
Today Alex had his big appointment up at the Spina Bifida clinic. Lots and lots of info--- tough decisions to make. I will definitely be picking your brains to get different perspectives.
We are also carving pumpkins this evening! We decided as a family that four pumpkins were more than enough. The thought of doing twelve was just too overwhelming.

Ahh...so much fun! We carved our pumpkin this afternoon after Oksana came home from school. Boy is she excited! Last year she didn't really know what was going on and this year...shes an ole' pro! Can't wait to see all the pictures!

Hoping that you had good news today at Alex's medical appointments.
Twelve big pumpkins wuld also be costly.
Just think of how many pumkin seeds you would have had with all those pumkins, and then pie's and casseroles and soups ok that is overwhelming.
I love my preteen who loves a bribe to do a chore I really dont feel like doing.
I know you will have some tough decisions to make and I will pray the hand of God is in the mix of everything and that the right doors are opened and the wrong doors to be closed. I will also ask for amazing peace and understanding of what choices that you make.

We're only doing two pumpkins because three seemed overwhelming to us!! Perhaps when Aidan is older. . .
Last year we'd no more than put the pumpkins out on the front porch than squirrels came and ATE THEM! We'd never had that before! It thoroughly discouraged the artists, that's for sure.
Oh, my - ONLY that much stuff under the couch, and you have HOW MANY kids? I only have 4, and I move my couch at least once a month to de-junk. . . .oh, the horrors I find under there!

We used the pumpkin version of Mr. Potato head pieces on our pumpkins this year. I posted the pictures on our blog.
The whole pumpkin carving thing has never really taken off over this side of the Pacific. But we do like pumpkin pie, pumpkin scones, pumpkin soup and roast pumpkin. I love Anna's baby pumpkin in the next post. I hope there is some good news about what can be done for Alex.
Most of my furniture hasn't been moved for 16 years and I could have nightmares about what might be lurking beneath.
LOL - it only takes 5 MINUTES for my DOGS to push that much stuff under the couch! And, when I clean it up, they just think it's a game to get it back under the couch before get a chance to get it into the trash bag.
