Guess what time it is?

Pomegranate season is here! Once again, we are eating them by the handfuls. Mmmmm, those tart yet sweet little jewels popping in your mouth with juice------ oh how I want some right now!

I tried one of these last year when you and your kids got a bunch from some friends of yours. Mine was purchased from our local grocery store so maybe it wasn't fresh, but I didn't find much juice in the seeds. It was mostly just a seed with hardly anything around it. I would love to try one fresh...guess I'll have to try one the next time I'm in CA. ENJOY! :)

Hard to believe it's already been a year since last season's pomegranate season. Maybe that's why I feel like I know your family, I've been visiting you daily for a couple of years now. Ummmmm, pomegranates, sour flavor at its best.

Yum! I was just eating some today too and wondering if there were any good recipes to use them in? Any ideas?

It's so funny to see this post today. I was at the grocery store yesterday, and when I saw the avocados I automatically thought "isn't it pomegranate season by now"! LOL. Don't ask me how avocados got me thinking of pomegranates. But it did!

I thought of you when I was in the discount grocery store. They were large but 2 for $5. I passed by. I'm sure I will give in and buy one or two this fall or winter to get my "fix". I love them. You're lucky to get them from friends.

LOL... I was in Sprouts and there were Pomegranites. I thought of you and figured, wow, they could buy all those and eat them in one day! (it was a small section) And here I come over to visit, and you are eating Pomegranites. :)

I recently had some Pomegranite wine, and it was really good.
Sprouts is my favorite place these days. :)

I started doing pomegranates after reading about them here but I gotta ask..How MANY do you use to feed your family and HOW do you get the seeds out??? I guess I must be lazy because I do one and give them each a tiny scoop. :) But we have found we love them with vanilla yogurt!!

Yes, please educate. How is the best way to eat a pomegranate? Do you eat the seeds, spit them out?

I was thinking of you at Rosh Hashanah when we were eating our traditional pomegranate chicken dish! Rosh Hashanah marks the new years and Pomegranate season for us!
