Who knew that tie-dying would take two days if you go by the recommended curing time? Not I--until I read the directions.
So we started yesterday after church.

Alex and Dennis stayed busy eating snacks!

The kids tied all the shirts. Even the dogs have shirts!

Then we took the shirts outside to dip in the fixer and then dye.

Even our dog was curious to see what we were doing.
Anna helped with the fuchsia dye and Caleb helped with the turquoise dye.
This morning we rinsed out the shirts before washing them.
Ta---da!

That is so cool. I tyed dyed the baby burp clothes a few months back, I ended up for the last 10 just squirting the dyes on in random patterns it was just way easier (my belly was getting in the way)
looks like fun! Happy Labor Day!
We did this for our family as well! We use them to go on field trips and family outings... easy to spot each other :)
Are you preparing for you little vacation coming up?
That's cool! We live in Hippie Town all the way so we see a lot of tie dye down here. Dresses, socks, ties, pants and more. It's quite interesting to say the least.
FUN!!!!!
fun, now you will need to post a pic of you all wearing them!
Very cool idea!!! I might try that!

What fun! Love the idea of matching family shirts - just for a bit of fun of course!
