Friday Wrap-up!

In about an hour, we will be heading out the door----- destination Anaheim, California!

We are going to Knott's Berry Farm and the Pirate's Dinner Adventure!

We have been busy, busy busy around here, so I am hoping this mini-vacation will bring us all back together.

This week was parent-teacher conferences and I walked away feeling proud of each and every one of my kids! They are all doing quite well!

Caleb is the new class president of his school--- can I hear a round of applause?!!!

Julia scored a perfect score in the math section of her STAR testing-- what an accomplishment!

Next week we will be celebrating not one, but two birthdays!

John got his very first pair of everyday glasses this week.

I experimented with the good ol' Tollhouse cookie recipe by using equal parts regular flour, soy flour, and whole wheat flour. At first the batter tastes and smells funny from the soy flour but after it rests, my kids said the cookies tasted the same as the regular. Plus, the cookies were healthier and had more fiber-- yum!

** Dear Lord, I remember the 9/11 attacks, as does everyone else I am sure. Today many people are hurting as they think back to that awful time. Please be with them. Amen.

Sounds like fun!! With your cookies... try adding flax seed INSTEAD of eggs for even more fiber!! I do this almost always now and nobody even knows.... the chocolate hides everything :)

Have a fun weekend in Anaheim.

I went to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland in Sept. 1971 when we moved from CT to CA so my ex could go to grad school at U of C in Berkeley.

Congrats to the kids for their good week and happy birthday to the 2 celebrating this coming week.
