Andrew is getting over his outer and inner ear infection. I took him to the doctor last Thursday before the doctor's office closed for Fourth of July. It took me trying four different pharmacies before I could get his antibiotics. Today, Andrew's ear was caked with yellow crusty stuff. Poor guy-- it looks like his ear drum ruptured in the middle of the night. But-- he says he is finally feeling better and there was no temperature this morning.
I sure hope none of the kids get sick while we are in Ukraine. Reminds me-- I've got to write up authorizations to seek medical treatment for all the friends and family who are watching the kids.

Anna had one of those a few years ago. Swimmers ear is nasty. We have used swimmer's ear ever since and had no problems until I forgot to use it one time. We caught it and used peroxide to clean out, and she was ok in a couple of days. Swimmer's ear is my best summer friend. :)
UGh! Angela ruptured her drum last week. It DOES feel better afterward because there's no more pressure. Poor buddy! I'll be praying for super healthy kids while you're gone. The ones with you and the ones staying home!
Ear infections HURT! Adults are lucky... we (rarely) get them. Maybe bigger ears just drain better? I have had only one as an adult and I could have cried like an infant... definitely was wishing for a rupture to ease the pressure. I hope Andrew feels better asap!!
My daughter got swimmer's ear each summer as she lived in the water as summers we lived at the CT shore. She would then have to be out of the water for several days.
Your poor son.
Hope none of the kids get sick while you are gone. Yes, get the medical permission slips done before you go.
You must have the longest lists made to be getting ready for your trip. I can't believe you are leaving in a few days. You, John and Julia must be so excited.
How long do you think you'll be there for this first trip?
Christina,
Congratulations on your wonderful bunch of kids!!! And special congrats to Dennis on all his progress!!! I do apologize but was unable to find your e-mail address, and may be posting this in the wrong place. I got a link to our blog from Shasta, as she had posted about a little 2-year-old to be re-homed in CA. Once again, even if in the wrong spot, there is no time to waste. Could you please contact me at loretta_signanini@yahoo.com? God bless, and congrats again,
Loretta
