In Ukraine it is officially June 25th already----- the day we met Dennis for the first time one year ago. Can you believe that we have known our sweet son for one full year?
It is amazing how perfectly he has fit into our family----- a Reed through and through.
Yesterday, I took this picture of Dennis watching a video of his homecoming. He sat through the whole thing and then proceeded to watch 7 or 8 other videos of himself and our family with Daddy and big brother Adam by his side. They both say that Dennis even shed a tear or two if you could believe that.
Looking back, it is hard to imagine the quiet, timid, weak, scared little boy that Dennis was because he is now so outgoing, strong, and full of life! He is so bright, so determined, and so loved by each and every one of us.
It is a privilege to celebrate knowing Dennis for one full year!

Yay for one year!
I have followed your blog for a long time and this morning I went back and read some of the posts from when Dennis first come to you and I must admit to shedding a tear myself! Crazy I know, but he is just such a sweet little boy and I'm so pleased for him that he got to go home with you! His transformation since he arrived is amazing and you should be proud!

Yeah! Those videos will become more precious as the years go by.
My oldest brother used to cuddle up next to my mom, his eyes sparkling, and say "Tell me about when you got me." It was one his favorite stories and one of ours too.
What a happy celebration! So thrilled at his continued growth and happiness!
Blessings!
If he actually shed a tear, he must have some memory of his life before becoming a Reed.....I am so worried what his reaction will be, and what he will be thinking inside his wee head when he accompanies you back to the orphanage to bring Alexsey home. I pray he is not traumatized!
Wow, 1 year already? Congratulations!
