Oh Yes He Did!

Today Matt and Jen had to go back home. True, they will be living here for good in just three short weeks, but it was sad to say goodbye nonetheless. Jonny thinks Matt is just the coolest and begged to have his head shaved to be just like him. After hesitating for a while, John gave the go ahead---- so I submitted. And you know what?? It was fun, harmless, and an unforgettable memory that will be talked about for years to come.

Don't they look great together? And look at that nice bruise on Jonny's forehead. Adam knocked Jonny down with the basketball a few nights ago (on accident of course).

He'll have to be careful not to get sunburned on his freshly bald scalp.

He looks so cute! We just buzzed Cooper and Avery too, so much easier in the summer!

Tina was thinking exactly what I was thinking!
Remember the sunscreen! :-)

Too cute! My husband has the same style now after I jokingly gave him a mohawk we just couldn't fix. I agree, the memories are worth it!

If you see in one of the pictures, I whad broken a bit of a sweat there. That's because I was working with the oh ever so light feather touch like a surgeon so as to not hurt, cut or nick Johhny. And then Chris comes in to help and she's wacking away like she's peeling an onion. And even though she has never to my knowledge shaved a noggin before, she knew exactly what she was doing. Never mind that *I* have been doing this on my own head for nearly 10 years now. I guess being the momma is the trump card. But hey. He liked it and by the time we were done, his head was as smooth as a babies bottom.

That is awesome. :) My husband has a bald head and gotee... It was a big hit for our girls when we were visiting them at the orphanage. I would give them some lotion and they would run to "Papa" and lather up his bald head! :)

Thanks for the comment on my blog! You have a beautiful family. :) I always appreciate the lack of drama in my house. There may be only three of us, but it's always crazy!

Have a great night!

Your a braver mother than I. I don't think I would let my boys shave their heads, however you won a lot of cool points with them! I agree with the sunscreen and a hat that scalp will be tender for a while. Funny and harmless, Boo to anonymous, get a grip it's only hair, it will grow back in a few weeks.

So cute. I allowed both my boys to do anything they wanted with their hair. Like the positive anon said, It's neither illegal, immoral or life threatening - nor long term. @ 24 & 28 they are both great adults w/their own original hair. & we get great laughs at those old pics... (OK, wasn't always easy at the time) "wacking away like she's peeling an onion" made me LOL Oh you mom you!

I love it! I never understood why people get SO upset about hair. It´s not like you´re letting him chop a leg off or something! I shaved my head when I was 18 and while I wouldn´t do it again, it was fun and entertaining and I never regretted having done it. Good on you guys for letting your son enjoy himself and make decisions like this.

(PS. Happy birthday!!!)
