I have found myself driving in the car more and more---- doctor appointments, orthodontist appointments, errands, etc. Lots of time to listen to the radio outside of talk time with the kids.
And you know what I am listening to?
Focus on the Family--- and I am loving it.
It is so encouraging, and often times I find myself thinking, "Now why didn't I think of that?" or "I couldn't agree more."
I look for it every time I get in the car.
Since I feel compelled to share about the good news because it most certainly has changed my life, I wanted to challenge all of you to listen to Focus on the Family for a two week period every time you are driving in the car (only if it is on of course).

I'm so pleased to read your post. One of my sons works for Focus. My husband and I were fortunate enough to tour the facilities a few years ago. Focus does great work, and I'm so glad that you are being helped by this organization.
When it comes to piano, Andrew is pretty much self-motivated. For those of you who would like to see his performance from yesterday, here's the link-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uubuyC0pX3E

I love focus on the family & since there´s no christian radio stations that are recieved out here, I listen through the internet - it´s great as I can take my laptop with me to whichever room I´m in & work while listening.
I listen to Rick and Bubba each morning. I do not think it would be your cup of tea. If you want to watch something very inspiration go to their web site rickandbubba.com and click on video on the left and look at the videos (3 of them) Rick Burgess-A. This is what he said at his 2 year olds funeral. If this was not God talking through him I just don't know what is.
I was raised on Focus. My mother would make us listen to it in the morning while we ate breakfast and on the way to school. I acted like I didn't like it but really it help form me as a person. I am continuing the tradition. My mother was finally able to meet James Dobson and I think she can now die in peace! I also recommend his book about raising boys. Very helpful.
thanks for posting the link for andrew's recital. he is adorable! and talented of course.
could anyone link me - if it´s possible to listen to it online? :)
we don´t have it here in Slovakia :D but I´d love to listen :)
Glad to hear you have found Focus on the Family. That is one of the organizations that I support because I think they are spot on with their message.
Oh, FoF is great. He has the best programs on and they are so helpful, whatever stage in life you're at!
Marielle, I am from Holland as well!
Leuk om "kennis te maken"! (Nice to "meet" you)
What a lovely thing to share.

Time driving constitutes a LOT of my 'quiet' time--I'm so thankful for Christian talk radio and great teaching CDs--
Love that you are being fed while you drive!
Blessings!~
I LOVE FOCUS! They have helped me through many years of many issues. I have been privileged to meet Dr. Dobson in person a couple of times, as well as tour the facility. So glad to hear you spread the word! Now I'm off to sort out all those CDs & tapes I've ordered over the years and figure out who to share them with!! Maybe it's time to listen to some of them again myself!
