Here is the sanctuary full of kids. The church's goal was to raise $200 to buy bibles for Africa and the kids actually brought in $1000! Praise the Lord! That is alot of bibles!

To celebrate the last day, the kids got to play in the water! They all seemed to have a blast!

I just can't get over how beautiful and big-girlish Sveta looks. She did a great job on her frame.

So did Annalyn! Her teacher made each of the girls in her group their own little photo album. It was very thoughtful!

These little alligators were one of the crafts this week. Now I have lots of magnets on my fridge!

Caleb tried to get Dennis to play in the water. Dennis was more interested in eating Popsicles.

Caleb had fun hanging out with his friends on the water slides.

Adam really got into helping this year. It was fun for him to get an alligator cookie as a show of appreciation for his help!
As a belated birthday gift, John went out and bought white paint so that he could paint the lattice that he built a few weeks ago (after telling me back then that he would not paint it because he hated painting even though he knew I wanted it painted).

I think it looks great! The worst part about the whole painting thing was all the paint the kids got on themselves. Let's just say that it took a while scrubbing all the paint off Jonny. After this little painting session, John and I both agree that little helpers don't necessarily make the job easier.

Dennis found Anna's dress-up shoes and thought he would try them on.
Too cute, don't you think?

I taught Caleb how to give Anna her growth hormone shots so that when we go to Ukraine, he can have the responsibility of doing it. He was the only one besides Jonny that was willing to give them and there was no way Anna was going to let a five year old poke her with a needle. Anna is pretty smart, I think. ;)

Does Jonny have paint on his head in that picture? lol.
Caleb is fantastic for being able to give Anna her GH. What a mature boy!
Ahhh now I will go pray for Monday/submission.
Your kids really seem to have a sense to responsibility to each other. They seem like they take care of each other. Siblings are one of the best gifts you can give a child.
Love your blog! Just spent the last few days reading.... pretty much all your older posts.
Cant wait to read more!!
Praying for you and your family.I hope that everything goes well with the adoption of Aleksy.
God Bless
Isabelle
I so admire your children.
What a great family!
Hey, I'm curious why she doesn't have the pen for her shots? (It's SO MUCH easier) Was it a lot more expensive to get the pen? We were very fortunate that Noah's GH was covered through insurance, and the pen was just there. I don't even remember getting the option. Anyway, even though the pen might be more expensive, you're NOT paying for syringes, so it probably evens out.
That is really cool that Caleb is able to give Anna her shots, and that she is willing to let him.
Peace.
Well, looks like it was a fun week for everyone! How great to see the kids had such a blast, even when helping out. Doesn´t surprise me a bit that Rachel worked in the nursery for VBS. :D
I love that Caleb is up for giving his sister shots . . . and she lets him. That just speaks so loudly about the wonderful relationship your kids have!
Beautiful photo frames, beautiful children, in fact a beautiful post! Nothing more precious than children helping out whether that's by buying bibles or carrying out medical bits and pieces. Caleb deeply impresses me; injections are my big "please God keep me from needing to do that" thing (silly when I think about the other medical stuff I do do regularly)!

I love Sveta's new haircut - it's very chic!
Looks like a great week....
Love all those photos especially the one of Andrew & Denis watching TV from the big box...
We had a small boy having great fun playing with my shoes last week (purple also!)
Check out Alex on my blog!!
Have a good week...

Cute photos! You are lucky to have a fridge that accepts a magnet. Big sad day when I realized that my stainless steal on DOESN'T!
Aren't large boxes super?
Wow, Caleb giving shots. Could this be the beginning of a medical career?
Your update was great, love the pictures and stories! :)
Hey, we did the same VBS and my 16 year old was our pharoe, it was not an easy job if your kids were as rough on pharoe as ours were! Who knew how carried away some of them would get.
Looks like an awesome week! I think Caleb is a wonderful brother for being willing to give Anna her shots. A very loving thing to do.
What a fun post! I loved reading about your week and seeing all of the pictures of your beautiful family.
I think it's incredibly sweet that Caleb is willing to give Anna her shot! You have great kids!
I'm excited for y'all and your upcoming trip! :-)
Blessings

All that paint looks like something our boys would do!
I'm praying for Monday! I hope your dossier is submitted right along beside ours!
what a busy week! seeing Caleb give Anna a needle made me cry...nothing quite like siblings working together! loved that!
you are a brave woman with painting! clean up can be a bear if it's just me...good for you for giving them the energy to do that.
i love reading your blog!
I love that Anna trust Caleb so much that she feels safe letting him give her the shot.
What a beautiful relationship!
I saw a box behind a store yesterday and thought of that photo of your boys playing in it. =)
I second Leah about the Pen. It is really slick!
Bibles?? Why not sending something useful?!? What a money waste!
