All Day Celebration!

Today we celebrated Sveta's birthday! First thing in the morning, her daddy did the sweetest thing----- he told Sveta that since she usually always picks up the dog poop, he was going to have her go around and tell him where to pick up the poop. And he went out and did it (and John really is not an animal person at all). Sveta really got a kick out of this, and I grabbed my camera so that we can look back in twenty years and remember this day.

After our Cousin Matt and Jen showed up (they are the ones that just bought a house right near us), all of girls went to have pedicures in celebration of Sveta's birthday!

The girls had never had them before, so this was a very special treat. They were all giggles as they got their feet rubbed and their backs massaged.

Here is the birthday girl's feet! How pretty! The salon threw in free nail art for all of us!

Here we are all together! The pedicurists were so nice and friendly and did a great job pampering all of us!

Back at home, Adam helped decorate Sveta's cupcakes! I read a magazine last week at one of the doctor appointments I was at for one of the kids and I learned that you can mix a Kool-Aid packet in with vanilla frosting to get a fruity flavor and brilliant color!
Didn't the cupcakes turn out gorgeous? Thanks Adam and Jen! Who knew Sveta's toes would match her cupcakes?


Cousin Matt went out and bought lots of silly string and water balloons. For the most part, everybody had tons of fun, but since I am all about trying to keep it real, I have to admit, it didn't start out so well. Very quickly William got frustrated that other kids got him with silly string before he had a chance to get them. I was in the middle of taking pictures and was busy looking all around and trying to snap as many action shots as I could and I didn't realize that I had gotten this photo until I downloaded it. All I knew was that Anna was crying because William had chucked a can at her back.

Here is the actual photo of William chucking the can. He had a long time-out and missed out on alot of cool party fun.

Sveta enjoyed the silly string fun.... especially because she knew it was in honor of her!
