Routine Pre-Op Bath

Dennis had an extra soapy bath tonight. Why? Tomorrow he is having another surgery on his eye. Should be fairly quick---- in and out. My husband asked if he starts to cry as we walk into the hospital because he remembers that this is where he comes out feeling all bruised and battered. Thankfully this is not the case. I am pretty sure he will be just as happy as he is in this bath picture as he will be tomorrow going into surgery. He is such a trooper.

Honestly, these surgeries are getting easier. (speaking only for myself and not Dennis) I didn't think I would ever say that--- but it is true. I have built up a trust with this doctor and this hospital----- I know Dennis is in the best of hands. Plus, Dennis heals quickly and I think to myself........ one more surgery closer to no more surgeries.

Lord, be with my sweet little boy tomorrow.

I will be praying! he really is too cute. Dear Jesus, hold Dennis in Your arms, and guide the doctors' hands. I praise You, Father, for placing Dennis with the Reeds. :)

I will be praying that Dennis' surgery goes will tomorrow and that God guides the surgeon's hands. I will also pray that God continues to give you peace in your heart and that Dennis will heal well and quickly. I look forward to reading how everything went. Melissa Moss

So good to have a doctor you can trust! More importantly, so good to have a God you can trust... how cool to have both!

my 4 yr. old Hope is looking at blogs with me this morning and she says, "Oh he's so cute! I love that boy!".

When my inquisitive daughter asked a child at therapy one day why one eye was bigger than the other, her mother told us that Morgan had a "teddy bear" eye. I told Hope that Dennis has a teddy bear eye too. :) I thought that was a cute explanation for younger kids.

I was going to comment on the strategically placed flip flop, but I see it won't be necessary.

Love to you and your little guy!
