In the Last Two Days

John taught Sveta a simple two steps forward, one step backward dance that she picked up on quickly. She had lots of fun--- just her and Daddy.

To add variation to the diet, I went to the health food store and bought a variety of healthy flours.

When I got home, I made this delicious Zucchini-nut bread.

Yesterday was so warm, that a few of the kids put on bathing suits.
They had fun running around the pool splashing each other.
Sveta actually jumped in before getting dressed. She takes pride in being very brave!
Dennis thought it would be nice to join William. William didn't appreciate Dennis' tushy in his face.

Awwwww, that's much better!

Our church prayed for Dennis today. Sveta's Sunday school class made him all of these cards.
How thoughtful of them.

A conversation between Annalyn and Daddy while watching a tv show.
"Annalyn, do you know why the kids laughed at the boy when he said they went to the pickle farm?"
"Yes I do," Annalyn said matter-of-factly, "Pickles are not grown on a farm."
"Oh really, Annalyn. Where do pickles grow?"
"They grow in the sea," she answered.

LOL! I can't think of the last time I ate a "Sea Pickle". :)
What a sweet gesture to make cards for Dennis. I'm sure all the prayers of those around the world will get you and Dennis and the rest of the crew through the next weeks to come.

CALL ME if you want to. I will be here.

When they wake Dennis up, are they going to have you there or will they wait to call you in?

We are allowed to go right in as soon as they wake the girls instead of waiting for a while, so we can be with them and help to calm them. They do much better when we are there next to them.

You will all do great!

I can't believe I'm looking at kids jumping in swimming pools! We have a fire roaring here. It is brrrrr!
COLD!

Lol! My grandma may need to give her the "pickles are made out of cucumbers which grow on farms" talk...

The cards are so sweet! Awesome kids.

Ugh! I wish I could jump in a pool but, I would NOT dare..it's under 50 degrees here!

Haha, cute story about Annalyn and pickles.

I wish that we had some of your nice weather here in Wisconsin!

Have a great week!

Oh my goodness, I am SO jealous! It's 20 degrees here, today! :-/ I wouldn't think of getting out a bathing suit! :D

Praying that Dennis's surgery goes well.

Love all the cards from Sunday School--that's cool. :)

That's funny about where pickles grow! Children are so fun and I love the things they say! That's awesome about Sveta learning to dance. Sometimes children with special needs take a bit longer to learn those things. We have been teaching Curtis some things and he has just now been catching on. It is so fun to his 'lightbulb' go off in his head. William and Dennis were sure cute together. I am praying for Dennis and will continue all throughout the week. Have a wonderful week in the Lord!

HAH! Annalyn is so funny! Was she thinking of a sea cucumber? (Being from an island surrounded by ocean, that was the first thing that came to mind.)

That is a huge pool you have--what a blessing to have something like that in your own backyard so your kids can jump in and cool off whenever!

We will be praying for Dennis this week and keeping him in our thoughts. Good Luck

Your pool is open and we are getting a big Northeaster snowstorm tonight that will go into tomorrow. I'm not planning on venturing out in the morning to work as we're suppose to get 12 - 16 inches of snow. Guess it'll be a vacation day for me unless the company decides to close.

Praying for Dennis!

Love the picture of John and Sveta dancing, what a dad!

Brrr to the swimming. I only live about 45 min from Mellimaus. It's freezing here! It's supposed to be 43 by Friday, and that actually sounds warm after 3 months of temps in the 20's and 30's.

I love the things that kids say, sometimes they are so funny! I work in an afterschool care, and one day this kid who's in 5th grade was telling me that he wants to be an architect. There's a really good architectural school here in my state, but the football team that this kid goes for is archenemies with the team from the architectural school. After I pointed that out, he said "well, I can't let sports get in the way of my future!"
I'm praying for you guys!

I just put Dennis - and his family, and the medical staff who will be caring for him - on my church's prayer list. He is such a sweetie...I hope that he will have an easy time of it, and that the surgery will be a complete success.

Love the dance-with-Daddy! Way to go, Sveta!

Hmmm, those sea pickles must have grown in an octopus's garden, don't you imagine?? :-)

Best wishes,
Susan in Ky
