I think they are growing up

Annalyn loves to shave Daddy's beard. She is pretty good at it too!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner so the girls got their cards ready.

Anna and Jonny watching Superman together.

Andrew turned 7 last night! Happy Birthday! He opened a few gifts after dinner, but we are celebrating this Saturday.
Jonny not only got Andrew a cool Pez dispenser but he also wrapped up one of his cars and a stick in a napkin. How cute is that?

Andrew and William are becoming so responsible. Lately, they have been making their lunches at night instead of me rushing to make them in the morning. "Mom, isn't it great of us to help you? We are old enough now to do this so we will, okay? But if there is no bread then we can't. Is that okay?"
Of course it is okay. We have tortillas and crackers, and those dreaded left over hot dog buns.

William is so proud to have made his own sandwich. To be able to untwist the bread bag, pull apart the bag of sealed lunch meat, touch the cold wet ham, and flip open the cap on the mustard is no small feat when you have sensory issues in your fingers. Heck, I am proud of him!

Another birthday in your family. Happy belated to Andrew. Another skating party this weekend?

That's wonderful about the boys' taking the responsibility for their lunches and especially for William.

Hey Christine, Happy Birthday to Andrew. You do have a typo in your entry that says it was Andrea's birthday, which momentarily had me confused that there was another Reed daughter out there who doesn't get much press! Enjoy your blog.

Isn't it kind of a happy/sad moment when they show how grown-up they are. Each milestone makes you so proud and yet demonstrates another step they have taken away from childhood. Happy Birthday from the Reeds to the Big Reed boy.

Happy Birthday Andrew! Good job on the boys making their own lunches.. Can you talk alittle about Williams sensory issues. I can'e believe he doesn't like to touch ham.. I am just curious on this topic. Thanks!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

He does look a little confused about the stick though:)

I can't stand making lunches so I think it is just BRILLIANT that they are doing that for you!

Have you tried making bread pudding out of the dreaded hot dog buns? I bet they`d eat them then. ;)

Congrats on having such grown up boys. I`m very impressed with their lunch making skills, particularly for William, he really does deserve to be proud of himself!

How cute :) It must be awesome to be able to see so many go through the same stage! We use hot dog buns for PB&J around here when the bread is out!
