Anna lost a tooth this week after begging me to pull it out for her.

I splurged and served shrimp for dinner one day last week.

Here I am going over Andrew's homework before school. The day before I got an email from his teacher letting me know that he had many unfinished assignments that were in his backpack. She also informed me that my sweet little guy pushed down a girl and pinned her arms behind her back after she bumped into him. Lovely--- hunh? According to him it was more of a pinch--- but it still is not acceptable for many reasons. One, violence is not the answer. Two, you should never ever be rough with a girl. Three, this kind of behavior is wrong. Four, you are setting the wrong example for others. Five, it goes against what Mom and Dad have taught you. He wrote apology notes to both his teacher and this little girl and had to finish up all of his late work, some of which I had to erase and have him redo because it was so sloppy. He also lost computer privileges for a few days. Till Andrew can prove that he has changed his behavior we are taking it day by day.

Wow at Adam's shoes being almost as long as Dennis is tall! That's pretty impressive!
I love Caleb's tie! That is so awesome that he isn't afraid to express his individuality. The world needs more kids like yours who are being raised to be who they are.
I love the fact that the kids love each other so much.
Mmmm, I could handle some garlic prawns right now...
What a great time the Reeds are having!
Tall young men need good feet to keep them from tipping over ;-) Watch out Adam, you're 8yo cousin is in a 5 already.
I LOVE Caleb's sense of style. You should always ALWAYS be who you want to be! :-) One of the reasons I like Brian's long hair so much, isn't the hair, it isn't that he is good at keeping it neat and combed... it's his attitude about it. Someone might ask, "Why do you have long hair like a girl?" Brian will just shrug and say, "No. I have long hair like a boy." Caleb, I love your style, and it has nothing to do with the clothes...altho I like the look... it's the "I'm me" attitude, and it goes well with everything.
You've got the cutest kids. What I don't know is how you somehow managed to convince them to let you take pictures! Anastasia and Zhen are fine, but the older boys will NOT have pictures taken anymore - and they don't even know I might post them!
Look the look into your life.
All the pictures are awesome.
I noticed Rummicubes in one of your pictures. That is one of our family's favorite games. I think it's great for teaching thinking skills.
Your family is so amazing! I just love coming here and reading all that is going on!
Fun Times.... I like Julia with her bangs.. super cute! Emily is enjoying Julia and Rachel's blog... now she wants one:)
Love that missing tooth pic!
Blessings!
We have always made our two older boys write apology notes to the teacher &/or other child involved if there was one. We have felt that anyone can just say "sorry" and not even mean it. This way... while they write out the apology, it makes them think even more about the gravity of the situation.
Bravo for you for having him apologize.
That is really cute about the shoe and Dennis!
Love Caleb's outfit!
It's so wonderful that Dennis is so spoiled by his brothers & sisters... they are the best brothers & sisters ever!
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing the story on your son. First off, I came from a relationship where DV was there and I had two little boys that I so desperately hope didn't see. I think it is so important to teach our boys this. I worry so much being a single mother and raising THREE boys. I rely on our church and myself for guiding them down the right path.
Thanks for the honesty in your posts and not being afraid to post it.
