"I'm Gonna Eat Your Nose!"

Here is what we have been up to.
Annalyn and Sveta asked if they could finish up the leftover salad from the adoption reunion. "Sure girls. eat up!"
Jonny and Dennis sure love each other! Jonny likes it when he can get Dennis to laugh!
"I'm gonna eat your nose, Dennis! Yum-yum-yum!"
"That was pretty darn annoying big brother! What else you got?"
"You did it!" "No, you did it!"
Dennis loves playing with pretend food. Maybe he'll grow up to be a chef.
William, Jonny, Dennis, Annalyn, Andrew, and I are listening to our own little concert put on by no other than---- Adam playing his guitar!
We all love when Grandma and Grandpa come over for dinner!
That night, we had ice-cream sundaes for dessert!

Don't they look yummy!
This one, Caleb made, and he made sure that none of us even breathed on it--- if so he would have given it away because of the germaphobe that he is.
I think Grandpa is describing how big he thinks the play place is going to be.

Grandma is always giving the girls knitting and crocheting pointers.

Speaking of play places.......
IT'S HERE!!!!!

Christine, as you probably know I follow your blog pretty often. The love in your family is palpable. I can't get enough of little Dennis who melts my heart every time I see him. He is a lucky little guy to have such wonderful siblings who love him alot. i really do just want to squeeze him.

I have one question for you. How, in your efforts to help other families who are having a hard time with distruption..etc, stay objective? I don't think I am that strong at all. I am in complete awe of you and your efforts to help families in crisis while raising your own family. God bless you, John and your whole family Christine. You have my complete admiration.

How funny that Caleb is a germaphobic kind of guy. Josiah is the same way. If someone even breathes close to his food he will not eat it, especially his older sister. Sometimes it's a little ridiculous if you ask me, but there are bigger battles to pick than that one :)

Hello, Christine! I have enjoyed reading your blog for many months now. After reading so many of your stories about disruptions and challenges, I must admit I feel God must have known my strengths and weaknesses when He brought our two children into our lives. We adopted them several years ago from Russia, a brother and a sister, ages 4 & 9 at the time. We have not had any experience with RAD, although my son does have some developmental issues, that we are not sure of the origin. Could be FAS, could be Non Verbal Learning Disorders, could be a form of dyslexia. But we are oh so blessed!
I hope you don't mind, but I also follow another blog (which is where I found your blog actually!), and they have a link toward helping someone adopt a 16 yr old boy from Russia who is already in this country but is in danger of having to be sent back. I will post the link and if that is not appropriate I apologize in advance. You have such an amazing audience that I thought they could help get the word out. The link to the other blog is: http://thelongwayhome-suz.blogspot.com/
If we can't help monetarily, maybe our prayers will help him stay home! Thanks again for sharing your family with us an for all the joy it brings!!

So wish we lived closer or had deep pockets so we could have come to the reunion picnic. Sounds so fun and I just have to meet Alla some day in person!

I love that the girls are knitting. I helped my mom cut patterns and sew growing up and if I had a girl, I would take it up again. I would like to learn quilting, I think. But good for you to teach them the crafts of old. At least I can teach Nick how to hem and sew buttons on....my hubby likes to cook, so we have a renaissance man in the making hopefully! ;)

Just reading Gordon Ramsay's "Humble Pie", and I am glad to know that when Dennis, as a famous chef, will be writing his own autobiography, he will describe a completely different childhood from Mr. Ramsay's. :-)
