HaHaHa! You know whats great! Seeing John in all sorts of pictures with the family and having fun being silly with them too! Where I live there is a very high % of family men with wives and children at home who work their lives way on the oil rigs and their kids don't even know who they are. (Not saying this about every family only a high %) :) To see this makes me smile. Tell John he too is doing a great job!
Hi Christine (and anyone else who might have some advice),
This is totally off topic from this post, but I was hoping that since so many adoptive parents read this blog someone may be able to help me. My husband and I had to abandon an adoption from Ukraine that we had started because he has a deployment coming up. Well, I found 2 children in Estonia on an adoption site and they just stole my heart. I've started sending emails and asking the agency questions and they think we should be able to get the paperwork done before my husband leaves and then his deployment should hopefully be shorter than the wait between sending off the paperwork and getting a court date.
My question though, is if anyone knows of any good ways to raise some money. This is very last minute, but I really feel that God is calling us to these children. I'll be able to borrow enough money from my grandparents to get the paperwork started, but it won't be enough. If you know of anything that might help I would greatly appreciate it.
I grew up without a father, too, and it just blesses me to see John interacting with the kids. He seems like a great dad, just like my husband, Michael, is to our kiddos!
